Architects Of Our Own Ruin


Humans are always going to be the cause of their own destruction -  because we will never be satisfied with what we have. We’re always going to search, always going to want something better. We’ll keep innovating, keep learning, keep moving forward.

And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. But the truth is: we’ll never be content with what we already have. We’ll keep reaching for something greater, something more. And in that pursuit, we’ll keep creating  - until one day, the very things we create will replace us.

Just look at artificial intelligence. It can already do half of what humans can  -  if not better. And that’s just where we are now. Imagine what the future looks like.

And it’s not just about technology. It’s about all of humanity.

We’re all human. We seek happiness, satisfaction, contentment. We want to love and be loved. We want to nurture and be nurtured.

But at the same time, do you know who inflicts the pain we end up facing?

It’s us.

It’s always been us.

It’s humans who bring the bad luck, the bad actions, the hurt that spreads from one person to another. Humanity is such a beautiful thing  an - d yet, we’re the ones who will destroy it.

And the worst part?

It’ll be entirely our fault.

 Ever since my board exams began, I’ve been reflecting on how I studied and what actually worked. I feel like I’ve cracked a secret code—one that transformed the way I approach learning. The evils that reside in few may not have permeated if they had someone to look out for them, care for them, and value them as human.  Circumstances, in life, play a huge role in shaping each person. Their family, friends, relationships, opportunities, mishaps—all are lego bricks that form a part of a never finished sculpture.
